Yumna Benjamin

Currently a student at UCT doing my second year of Film and Media Studies.

I have lived in Cape Town for the past 21 years of my life and will happily remain here for the years to come. I am a practicing Muslim and feminist and so I feel it is my duty to raise awareness about issues pertaining to Muslims, women and my country that no one is talking about.

I believe in the equality and justice of all and that when we come together we can make a bigger change and are stronger together.

I live by the quote “Be kind to yourself first and then let your kindness fill the world”.
