For years Palestine has lived under the threat of the Israeli government. For years they have resisted. They will continue to do so until their fight has been won.

If you do not yet know about the constant conflict and terrors happening in Palestine, then you need to ask yourself why not. Is it because the media often chooses to neglect showing us the truths of what is actually happening? Because if that is the reason, I understand. For more than half my life I was that person who knew nothing. Nevertheless, here it is.

Starting in 1948, Palestinians have been driven out of their homes by Zionist gangs. Their intentions? To establish the state of Israeli and claim “their” land. Fast-forward to 1967 where the war between Israel and Arab countries began. This, unfortunately, led to the occupation of more Palestinian land and left countless Palestinians displaced. The beginning of what is still an on-going war.

After all these years, Zionists within Israel are still trying to take what is not theirs. Leaving Palestinians fighting for survival 24/7. Attacking when Palestinians are most vulnerable -entering their homes with great force at all hours of the night and when in mosque during prayer. Killing those who try to resist or retaliate and removing children from their families.

Some would say that the Israeli is protecting themselves against “terrorists” because that is what they are lead to believe and why is this? Is it because every time there is a bombing or a shooting some place dominated by whites, it’s called a terrorist attack? Although they may not have used the word “Muslim” when talking about terrorists on the news (anymore), they have made it clear, on multiple occasions, who they believe is behind it all. This has driven society to a point where assuming terrorists are Muslim is normalised. Now they no longer have to mention the religion of the terrorist. Now we all just know. Right?

The fear and hatred of Muslims is blasted throughout the media. All this is being done while the thousands and thousands of Palestinian children are being shot and imprisoned. April 5^th is Children’s Day in Palestine, but instead of it being a jolly festival celebrating childhood, it is a day of remembrance. It highlights the horrendous treatment of Palestinian children by the Israeli forces. They justify their killing of Palestinians by saying they are terrorists. But how can a 14-month old baby even know what it means to be a terrorist?

The world talks about rebuilding Notre Dame, not even a month after it was burnt, yet remain blind to the 71-year demolition of Palestine. Why is no one offering to rebuild Palestine? Not just a building but an entire city that was once beautiful. Natural disasters happen all over world and almost immediately we see the rich and famous jump in to save the day. They donate money, and even physically volunteer, to help rebuild the city from scratch. So if it is a question of finance then I would say that there are more than enough powerful and wealthy people to contribute to building a city that is even more spectacular than in was before.
